March 1 - 2 : 11th Annual Spring Obsession Weekend.  Ironstone Vineyards, Murphy. Lots of fun and exciting events are planned for this weekend. Ironstone will have over 500,000 daffodils in bloom. Cooking demonstrations, a juried art exhibition and sale, live music and many other exciting events are all free to the public.

March 8 - 9: Californias Oldest and Largest Celtic Faire.   22nd Annual!!  The Faire has moved from the Calaveras Fairgrounds, Angels Camp to the Sonora Fairgrounds, about a 15-minute drive from the old location.   Don’t let that discourage you --we are still close enough you can enjoy our Park AND attend the Celtic Faire!  Features Knights Jousting on Horseback * Longbow Archery * Armored Tournament * Modern Clans * Celtic Living History * Ethnic Food & Drink * St. Patrick's Court * Mary Queen of Scot's Royal Court * Irish Step Dancers * Highland Dancers

March 15 - 16: Daffodil Days Celebration at Ironstone Vineyards, Murphys. See what Ironstone is known for...a sea of daffodils! If you think daffodils are "just that yellow flower," you are in for a surprise! The winery expects to have close to 500,000 daffodils in bloom. Free admission 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sat; 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sun. At 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Bob Spotts and Nancy Tuckette from the Daffodil Society will provide a free presentation "You haven't seen daffodils yet" and the day will conclude with a Daffodil Gourmet Buffet Dinner in the Ironstone Heritage Room. Admission is $25 per person, with a no host bar available. Call 209.728.1251 for reservations.. A complimentary bus provided by Calaveras Transit will take visitors between free parking at the winery and Main St in Murphys from 8:30 am to 5:45 pm. March 15:  AT&T GS Race Series at Bear Valley.

March 15: Murphys Irish Days. Come to Murphys, where everyone is Irish once a year! Join in celebrating Murphys important Irish heritage. There will be day long entertainment for the entire family throughout the town, with free admission. Features include delicious assortment of traditional and fun Irish cuisine, Calaveras wines, local beers, Irish tenors croon traditional folk songs, great Irish music, Hometown Parade, Silent Auction, over 100 fine arts & crafts vendors, mini-Celtic Renaissance Faire in the Community Park, Downtown Murphys.

March 15:  St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at Irish Vineyards

March 15 – 16:  Sonora Home Show, 27th Annual.  Mother Lode Fairgrounds, Sonora.

March 22 – 23:  2008 Gem & Mineral Show.  Calaveras Fairgrounds, Angels Camp.   World class dealers will offer great values on top quality gems, minerals, jewelry, beads, fossils, petrified wood, lapidary material and equipment, books and supplies.

March 23:  Easter Celebration – Gold Rush Style!
